Combating Loneliness with Love and Care

Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care continues to spread warmth and connection through its ongoing initiatives in the UK. In London, “Cuppa and Catch-Up” sessions are held at the London Spiritual Centre every second and fourth Tuesday, offering companionship to combat loneliness. With over 800 Jain meals served, sessions included activities such as chair and laughter yoga, qigong, cupcake decorating, pottery meditation, games, Zumba, Raas Garba, Christmas carol singing, and informative talks – creating a haven of joy and wellbeing for attendees.

In Manchester, Valentine’s Day was celebrated with heartfelt enthusiasm at the Heald Green Hub, engaging the elderly in Jain cooking demonstrations, bingo, gift-giving, and card-making. A special Valentine-themed event for children featured crafts, games, and snacks, sparking creativity and laughter.

The unwavering dedication of SRLC volunteers shone through, bringing comfort, connection, and cheer to individuals across generations – uplifting spirits and strengthening community bonds.
