The Far East centres have actively contributed to alleviating hunger and supporting underprivileged communities through several impactful initiatives.
Volunteers from the Singapore Centre, in collaboration with the Sadhu Vaswani Centre, recently organised two food distribution drives for foreign workers. Each drive benefited 70 individuals, providing essential sustenance and support. The Hong Kong Centre donated 200 food kits at district council offices across two locations. Despite heavy rain, the elderly and underprivileged beneficiaries arrived punctually, showcasing their gratitude, while SRLC volunteers ensured timely distribution. In Uganda, food was distributed to school children and teachers, touching the lives of 1,350 individuals and ensuring that education continues alongside nourishment.
Through these efforts, a total of 1,690 lives have been touched, spreading the warmth of compassion across diverse communities.
