From modest beginnings to a seat at one of India’s most prestigious institutions, the journey of Harshil Patel, an alumnus of Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth, stands as a story of perseverance and progress.
During his Master’s studies at Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth, Harshil initially had no plans to pursue further education. He intended to join his father’s business after graduation. However, after working there for some time, he realised it was not the right fit and returned to college to seek guidance from the faculty.
The professors from the Chemistry Department advised him to explore higher studies and encouraged him to prepare for the National Eligibility Test (NET).
What began as a tentative attempt turned into a three-year journey of determination. Harshil faced unsuccessful attempts at clearing the exam, which tested his confidence. Yet, the constant motivation, mentorship, and belief of his professors kept him moving forward.
Harshil’s efforts eventually paid off – he cleared the NET with an All India Rank of 71, earning admission to IIT Bombay’s PhD programme in Inorganic Chemistry!
His achievement is a proud reflection of Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth’s commitment to guiding and empowering students to realise their true potential!
